Description
English: Akabdzib or the House of Dark Writings. It is the most unusual building in Chichen Itza. It is 176 feet long by 48 feet wide. There are 18 rooms in several of which are hand prints in red. There are also some hieroglyphs but they have not been deciphered. No date has been definitely determined but it is believed to have been built prior to about 900 A.D.
