Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Taken from the ABI instrument onboard the GOES-16 satellite, this true-color (GeoColor) image of the Main Development Region was taken on June 27, 2022, at 13:00 (UTC). At the time this image was captured five tropical waves were active from the Caribbean Sea to Africa, which is unusual for this time of year. The middle tropical wave just due north of the Amazon River delta region (the third one) was designated as an Invest and had a 70% chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 48 hours, while the wave to the right of it had a 20% chance of developing within the next five days.
