Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Acthorpe Medieval Village site. Alan d’Aggetorph is a witness to a 12th Century grant doccument in the Brownlow Estate papers in the Lincolnshire Archives. There are only a few humps and bumps left of the village he lived in. Acthorpe Farm is just off to the right; Actorpe Wood Cottage in TF3190 is in the centre; the view in the distance is across the Lincolnshire "flatlands", a vast low-lying area to the east.
