Title
A copper alloy handle
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy tankard handle of probable Roman date.

The handle consists of thin, curved strip of copper alloy, tapering from the centre to the base, but also thickening from the centre to the base. The outer handle surface has a groove set just inside the outer edges. The base is sub-rectangular in plan and incomplete, with a break probably related to the attachment setting on the base. The object measures 40mm in length and 16mm in width. The foot has a depth of 11mm.
