Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Part of Apollo 15 hasselblad image AS15-90-12181 centered on Spur crater. This is taken from Station 6A and Spur crater is Station 7, and the astronaut was facing approximately northwest. The labels show the large breccia boulder that the Commander, David Scott, photographed extensively and sampled (sample 15445), and also where the lunar rover was parked on the rim. The rover had a television camera remotely controlled from mission control in Houston, Texas. The so-called Genesis rock (sample 15415) was found at Spur, not far from the parked rover. Rima Hadley is the rille (valley) in the background, and the landing point is just off the frame to the right.
