Contexto: Desde la segunda década del Siglo XX las vanguardias artísticas irrumpieron en la escena nacional. Nuevas formas de expresión, conceptos y valores llevaron a los artistas a un replanteo de sus producciones. Distintos estilos de vanguardia influyeron en los novedosos trabajos, a los que, sin embargo, le imprimieron una relación con la realidad local.
