Description
Español: Carta de Luciano Leiva (1849-1935) a Ovidio Lagos (1825-1891) enviada desde Santa Fe el 23 de [octubre] de 1877 con motivo de solicitarle que trabaje por todos los medios posibles a su alcance a fin de que los actos públicos y privados de sus amigos respondan a la política de conciliación que han estado desarrollando. Comenta que la Comisión encargada de los trabajos políticos acaba de de nombrar una comisión de miembros en su seno para que se apersonen a la Comisión del Club Unión Nacional. Espera que Lagos, en su misión de "centinela de la vía del Progreso" sea el primero en marcar el rumbo que deba seguir la política. Menciona que el gobernador [Servando] Bayo (1822-1884), en cumplimiento de sus promesas, ha solicitado a las autoridades de dicha localidad la cooperación para realizar la política salvadora.
