Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A9 - Pass of Birnam. The new A9 (Built late 1970s) climbs steeply up above the River Tay on one of its infrequent dualled sections. The switching from dual to single carriageways is a contributor to this roads terrible safety record, as is the constant hold ups behind caravans and sightseers.

The A9 was designed long before the rapid growth of the City of Inverness, and is now found wanting at times.

Taken early on a Sunday morning, hence the bold/stupid POV.
