English: Simulating the model results in collective migration. A time course from a simulation showing six border cells (solid green), two polar cells (within the border cells), the epithelium (transparent green), and the oocyte (black, right) over the course of three hours. Fifteen nurse cells are situated inside the egg chamber but are not plotted so the dynamic border cells can be observed. Motile cells can be seen to change relative positions, and movement towards the oocyte is non- uniform in velocity. For more details, see Fig 3. |
