English: Disk-difusion test = Antibiogram (Kirby-Bauer method):
1. Swab a Muller-Hinton agar plate with Escherichia coli. Dip a sterile swab into the broth and express any excess moisture by pressing the swab against the side of the tube. 2. 5 discs are added to the plate on which different antibiotics are applied. 3. Place the forceps in alcohol, flame the forceps until they catch on fire, let the flame go out-sterile forceps. 4. Lightly touch each disc with your sterile inoculating loop to make sure that it is in good contact with the agar surface. 5. Incubate upside down and incubate at 37 °C/24 h. RESULT: The size of the inhibition zones of the applied antibiotic discs is monitored. On the plate sown with the bacterium Escherichia coli, 4 inhibition zones are observed out of a total of 5 discs added with antibiotic. 1. На плоча со Mueller-Hinton agar се засејува течна бактериска култура со стерилен брис. 2. Во плочата се додаваат дискови на кои се импрегрирани различни антибиотици. 3. Дисковите се местат без да ги допираат рабовите на плочата, подеднакво оддалечени едни од други користејќи фламбирана пинцета. 4. Дисковите нежно се притискаат за да се прилепат на агарниот медиум. 5. Плочата се инкубира на 37°С, за време од 24 часа. РЕЗУЛТАТ: Се набљудуваат големините на зоните на инхибиција на аплицираните дискови со антибиотик. На плочата засејана со бактеријата ешерихија коли (Escherichia coli) се забележуваат 4 зони на инхибиција од вкупно 5 додадени дискови со антибиотик.
