Формат отношений Русалочки и Второго принца (как она его называла в письменной речи) в тот период оставался мне не до конца ясным. Судя по тому, что он рассказывал, она действительно не умела говорить, но молниеносно освоила компьютер и тоннами читала в интернете всё подряд: от детских книг до промышленных спецификаций. Не менее жадно впитывала она и информацию непосредственно из окружающего мира, наблюдая за жизнью людей, исследуя город и его окрестности – сначала с Принцем, а потом и самостоятельно. Он был удивлён её этой страстью, но не удерживал - наверное, понимая, что это невозможно. К тому же, в целом её поведение выглядело осторожным. Тем не менее, дело приняло драматический оборот гораздо раньше, чем это можно было предположить.

The format of the relationship between the Little Mermaid and the Second Prince (as she called him in writing) at that time remained not completely clear to me. Judging by what he said, she really could not speak, but she mastered the computer with lightning speed and read tons of everything on the Internet: from children's books to industrial specifications. No less greedily she absorbed information directly from the outside world, observing people's lives, exploring the city and its surroundings – first with the Prince, and then on her own. He was surprised by her passion, but did not restrain her - probably realizing that it was impossible. In addition, in general, her behavior looked cautious. Nevertheless, the matter took a dramatic turn much earlier than it could have been assumed. |
