敦化は古來間島、寧安方面と密接な關係を持して來た町で、城内は相當整つた市街であるが度々兵匪の慘禍を蒙り市況疲弊し現今漸く稍々恢復に向ひつゝある田舎臭い町である。附近の牡丹江は物資の搬出に利用され木材雜穀等がその主要物である。 (印畵の複製を嚴禁す)
