Description
Русский: Фильм был заказан режиссеру Дзиге Вертову Моссоветом с целью перед грядущими выборами освятить деятельность администрации города в области муниципального транспорта, расширения сети культурных заведений и т.д. Но Вертов намеренно углубляет сюжет, и используя архивные материалы, описывает, как советский народ под руководством партии восстанавливает экономику и культуру своей страны и ее столицы. Главная идея фильма - сравнение прошлого и настоящего. Идет чередование кадров восстанавления заводов и фабрик, голодных колхозников работающих по призыву Ленина, солдат Красной Армии. Часть фильма посвящена детям, открытию школ и детских садов, родильных домов. Другая часть описывает помощь инвалидам.

This work is in the public domain in the United States, because it was in the public domain in its home country (Russia) on the URAA date (January 1, 1996), and it wasn't re-published for 30 days following initial publications in the U.S.
