Українська: Черепаха грецька підвид іберійська (Testudo graeca subsp. ibera Pallas, 1814) з роду Європейські сухопутні черепахи (Testudo Linnaeus, 1758) родини Суходільні черепахи (Testudinidae Gray, 1825).
Testudo graeca ibera — безперечно найпоширеніший підвид грецької черепахи в світі. Загалом, Testudo graeca ibera можна вважати черепахою середнього чи великого розміру. Тих, що мають розмір від 150 до 175 мм, можна вважати невеликими, особливо якщо вони походять із більш північних частин свого ареалу, де вони зазвичай більші. У деяких випадках самець є меншим за самицю, але багато самців близькі такого ж розміру, як самиці, а часом навіть більші за них. У більшості випадків колір карапаксу залежить від географічного розташування. Темніші тварини походять з півночі, де прохолодніше, а світліші — з півдня, де тепліше. Вага 1800 грамів або більше для самок досить поширена, а самці наближаються до 1600 грамів і більше. Тварини, що походять із східного анатолійського регіону Туреччини, досягають вражаючих розмірів. За деякими повідомленнями, окремі екземпляри досягають ваги 5 кг. Черепашата, що вилупилися, не дуже відрізняються від інших підвидів, але молодняк і молоді особини, гарного зеленувато-жовтого кольору з різною кількістю чорних плям на панцирі та пластроні. Голова зазвичай переважно жовтого кольору і велика. Раковина розширена, масивна і широка. In general, Testudo graeca ibera can be considered a medium to large sized tortoise. Those measuring between 150 and 175 mm can be considered small, especially if they come from the more northern parts of their range, where they are usually larger. In some cases, the male is smaller than the female, but many males are close to the same size as the females, and sometimes even larger. In most cases, the carapace color depends on the geographical location. Darker animals come from the north, where it is cooler, and lighter ones from the south, where it is warmer. Weights of 1,800 grams or more for females are quite common, while males approach 1,600 grams and can of course be larger. The animals, which originate from the eastern Anatolian region of Turkey, reach impressive sizes. According to some reports, individual specimens reach a weight of 5 kg. The hatchlings are not very different from the other subspecies, but the hatchlings and juveniles are a beautiful greenish-yellow color with varying amounts of black spots on the carapace and plastron. The head is usually predominantly yellow and large. The shell is expanded, massive and wide.
