View of the island of Torcello (on the Venetian Lagoon) by James Charles Armytage after Clarkson Stanfield. It is a plate from Charles Heath's 'Picturesque Annual: Travelling Sketches in the North of Italy...'etc. (1832).

This print is published by the firm Smith, Elder & Co. The brother of Margaret Brodie Herschel (nee Stewart), Peter Stewart worked for Smith, Elder & Co as a printer.
