Português: Há exatos 90 anos o Senado inaugurava uma nova sede – o Palácio Monroe, na avenida Rio Branco, centro do Rio. O prédio, que foi a casa dos senadores até 1960, quando Brasília foi inaugurada, não existe mais. Foi demolido em 1976, dando lugar a uma praça – uma decisão que até hoje provoca polêmica. Reportagem de Ricardo Westin para a seção Arquivo S, do Jornal do Senado, detalha a história do Monroe.
