"Dedicated to the Bunch with the Ed C. Nutt Comedy Players". An early jazz blues-style novelty piece I'd say with humorous intent. Harry Paul Schaefer (1893-1966) was from Cisco, Texas, a town about 100 miles west of Ft. Worth, and also served overseas during World War 1. He was mentioned as playing in the Ed C. Nutt band in 1917 and as band leader in 1918. During his military service he was band leader for the 154th Infantry Band and also organized and directed the 324th Artillery Band. He was married with children and died in Cisco in 1966. He was known to have published this piece plus "That Angell Rag" in 1914, this one by Regent Music Publishing Co. in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1916. (Thanks to Musescore's Erlingl for the Schaefer bio research).

Many thanks to Mitchy for finding and sharing this rare score. It comes from the collection of Ragtime Dorian Henry, whose YouTube channel is at this link: https://www.youtube.com/@RagtimeDorianHenry

I have posted the copy of the original score at this link: https://mega.nz/file/DJpQ2ASY#VqWjy7pQHciEJ5HvqF4E5EpkLV4pj8_VmTASUohdng8

This is a reproduction of the original score. I've eliminated the D.S. jump by adding 16 measures of the repeated A strain in its place following the B strain.
