Summary
[edit]Description"The Spitfire" has returned from Sheerness - geograph.org.uk - 1476230.jpg |
English: "The Spitfire" has returned from Sheerness The "Hoppers Special Steam Train" left Faversham Station at 14.10 on Sunday, 6th September, and returned at 15.30. It visited Sheerness-on-Sea briefly as part of Faversham Hop Festival celebrations and was an event arranged by Shepherd Neame Brewery. Here it is letting off steam rather noisily as it stands under the footbridge that leads over the railway from the town to St. Catherine's church, Preston. Photographers and train spotters abound both on and under the bridge. |
