Description
English: "May Upton" near Brewhurst Lock, Wey & Arun Canal The Wey & Arun Canal Trust's work boat, "May Upton", is seen here moored in the winding hole by Brewhurst Lock. The canal was built in the 19th century and was quite late in the "canal era". May Upton was the name of the resident engineer at the time of construction.
