Doğubayazıt

The main reason to travel here would be to see the countryside and one or more of the nearby sights. The most famous one is Ishak Pasha Palace with nearby minor sights such as Old Bayezid Mosque, Doğubayazıt Castle, a mausoleum and a cemetery. On clear days one can see the 5136 meters high Mount Ararat to the north. You may have heard of Noah's Ark being on it, but it's on much lower terrain at ten miles from town.
A new dual-purpose museum was built along the road leading to these sights, the Şeyh Ahmed El-Hani Müzesi / Eski Bayezid Evi.
