Description British soldier and photographer
Fourth and youngest son of David Brewster. British Army Captain with 76th Regiment of Foot, Royal Scots (1840s). Later rose to rank of Lieutenant-colonel (1863). Retired with honorary rank of Major-general (1872). Made honorary member of St Andrews Literary and Philosophical Society (1840). Produced photographic works using the Calotype process which had been developed by his father's collaborator, Henry Fox Talbot. (1840s) May have received a camera via his father from Edinburgh optician Thomas Davidson - in order to photograph his regiment while assigned to Cork in Ireland. Largest surviving group of his Calotype works depict soldiers and barracks in Cork city and county. These are understood to have been taken before the regiment transferred out of Cork (by May 1843). Henry Craigie Brewster was later posted to Plymouth, and further to Corfu and Cephalonia (from where he sent home pen-and-ink sketches - rather than further photographic works).

TemplateData

TemplateData is a way to store information about template parameters (the description of those and of the whole template) for both humans and machines. It is used by VisualEditor and possibly other tools like Upload Wizard.

Existing template documentation
At Wikimedia Commons, it is recommended to use {{TemplateBox}} with either ‎useTemplateData=1 or ‎useTemplateData=only on the ‎/doc subpage and transcluding it with {{Documentation}} into the template. ‎<nowiki>-tags can be wrapped around the arguments, if required, to avoid templates being expanded.

Newly created template documentation and imports
Another option, especially for imported templates, or for users with JSON experience, is placing raw ‎<templatedata>-tags into the Wikitext of the template, as described in various Wikipediae.

Discussion
There is an ongoing discussion about that matter. Feel invited to comment if you are experienced in either way, your time permits and if you like to share your opinion or to make a suggestion.
