UploadWizzard

Hi Romaine and team!

Have you any influence on UploadWizzard team? UploadWizzard needs some improvements but the feedback page seems to be not effective.

  • the form should give any warning or even not to allow to continue if some fields (ID of the monument, description) are empty.
  • The description textbox should be substantially bigger to be comfortable and to manifest that the description should be thoroughgoing.
  • The link "Add location and more information…" and the textbox "Other information" are misleading and cause that some users write a detailed description into this field instead into the description field.
  • The location box should distinguish properly the camera location from the object location (or even to allow to fill both together). A heading field should be added to the camera location and recommended to be filled-in.
  • The date copied from EXIF should be presented in {{According to EXIF data}} to allow to take account of possible incorrect setting of the camera. If the date is not from EXIF but from "last modified" time (last edit of the file), it should be not confusable with the date where the photo was taken! This automatically added date attribute a winter night photo as be taken in 7:01 hours in September!
  • Other demands can be brought to formating (line spacing, integration of additional templates into the Information template etc.).

Header change

I changed the text of the headers Template:Upload campaign header wlm-cz/cs and Template:Upload campaign header wlm-cz/en. However, UploadWizzard on https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&campaign=wlm-cz&setlang=en and https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&campaign=wlm-cz&setlang=cs displays the old versions still. I tried to add "?action=purge" or "&forcerecursivelinkupdate=1" to the URL of the UploadWizzard page but with no effect. Where is the problem? --ŠJů (talk) 22:16, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
