WLM California mailing list?

[edit]

Hi folks. I'm happy to see projects be developed on wiki, but, do you think it's a good idea to perhaps have a California planning list? or..not? :) If so, where should it be hosted? Sarah (talk) 20:25, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Has any planning been done that isn't evident on the project page? :) wikimedia-california gets almost no traffic... Mike Linksvayer (talk) 16:23, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nor does #wikimedia-westcoast on IRC ;) Greg G (talk) 16:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is the goal to organize Wikipedia Takes America events?

[edit]

From http://wikilovesmonuments.us/?page_id=59 I find en:Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Takes_America which seems to indicate it is. Mike Linksvayer (talk) 17:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I had read scavenger hunt somewhere and got a cold chill. If we can, I would be in support of taking a list of monuments from our counties (en:National_Register_of_Historic_Places_listings_in_California) and then divvy them up and arrange hanging out and walking around taking photos. Nothing spectacular, no prizes besides the camaraderie of contributing to the commons. ^_^ --マイキ (talk) 18:41, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
