[edit]Jury national
[edit]Bonjour aux organisateurs, je suis en train de constituer le jury national de Wiki Loves Earth 2017.
J'ai envoyé un courriel le 10 mars au jury de Wiki Loves Monuments et voici qui a répondu à date.
- Allen McInnis, photojournaliste (The Gazette - site personnel) amcinnismcinnis.ca
- Roberto Rocha, journaliste (site personnel) robroc1gmail.com
- Lyne Fontaine, photographe (site personnel) lyboufonhotmail.com
- Guy Rochette, photographe (site personnel) guyrochette9gmail.com
- Marcela Mejia, photographe (site personnel) marcela.mejiabell.net
Je relance les autres ce matin. Si je n'arrive pas à au moins 7 membres d'ici vendredi, j'étendrai la recherche dans l'ouest canadien.
Au plaisir, Benoit Rochon (talk) 11:24, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
Wiki Loves Earth missing translations
[edit]Hello Canadian team of Wiki Loves Earth!
In a few days, Wiki Loves Earth is going to start in Canada. To make sure you are ready I checked if all required translations have been provided. One set of translations is still missing:
- Commons:Wiki Loves Earth 2017/CentralNotice (French + choose your English text)
Please provide these translations as early as possible. If no translation/text is provided for the CentralNotice, no banner can be set up above Wikipedia!
Please be in time! Thanks! Romaine (talk) 03:11, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- We already have a central notice banner up and running in both French and English for Wiki Loves Earth in Canada, so I don't know what you are talking about. Amqui (talk) 13:09, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Amqui, The banner for Wiki Loves Earth is coordinated by the international team. This to ensure quality and prevention of errors. But more importantly, why did you start the banner even many hours before the contest started? Romaine (talk) 17:55, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't know it had to be coordinated through the international team. Amqui (talk) 18:31, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

@Romaine: - one other question: since when does the UploadWizard not require you to enter a description? When uploading pictures via campaign:wle-ca, it doesn't force you to enter a description which I find pretty troublesome. Braveheart (talk) 13:17, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Braveheart, If I remember correctly this is already at least for a year the case. I am not really happy about that situation myself and I remember I used a trick last year to have that field shown, but have to search back how to modify the upload URL to get this field always shown again. Romaine (talk) 17:55, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
- I think if you add description as a parameter in the URL the description will show automatically - unfortunately we didn't include that in our upload-links on en-wiki. Oh well ;-) Braveheart (talk) 18:17, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
Contest period
[edit]Hi, this page states contest is in May but participating countries table says about June. why so?--Anntinomy (talk) 19:48, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Doesn't it say June 1st to June 30th on the front page? I thought I'd changed that :-) Braveheart (talk) 16:29, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
WLE 2018
[edit]Hello, are there any plans to join Commons:Wiki Loves Earth 2018? I wonder because I've a lot of images from Yukon that I could contribute, Poco2 08:10, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
