Hello. This message is to inform you that a daily gallery in your userspace, Commons:WikiProject Brno/Uploads, has failed. Due to software limitations, the bot has a hard upper-limit of about 6000 files per day (including overflow galleries), while your gallery had 31150 files.

This usually happens because a gallery is too broad, encompassing too many subcategories. Please review the logs here and request that a subcategory be excluded, or narrow your category choice(s).

Please make your request for removal within 4 days, or your gallery will be subject to removal.

Thank you. Magog the Ogre (via OgreBot (talk) 03:23, 10 September 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Uploads inclusion

[edit]

Magog the Ogre, I see that some of my uploads depicting Vienna, such as File:Michaelerplatz in Vienna, 2022-02-20, 161607A.jpg got included here. Any idea why? I don't see an obvious connection to Brno. --Base (talk) 13:30, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No. I only keep logs going back 1 month. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 19:24, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Base: Hello! The link to the file you mention is probably this: Brno → People of Brno → Births in Brno → Adolf Loos → Looshaus → File:Michaelerplatz in Vienna, 2022-02-20, 161607A.jpg. Unfortunately, the Wikimedia category trees are in fact not really trees, because they include "shortcuts" like these. I have asked for the Adolf Loos subtree to be omitted in future reports. Thanks for pointing this out. --Blahma (talk) 12:43, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
