Translation

[edit]

How does one go about grouping this page under the right grouping (at [1]), in this case Commons partnership pages. Maybe @Jean-Frédéric: knows? /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 14:45, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes :) This is done at Special:AggregateGroups, and ✓ Done now. Jean-Fred (talk) 15:23, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I was looking for a special page with "Translate/Translation" in the name ;) /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 15:43, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Transparancy

[edit]

There are problems with the following coat of arms in that the white backgrounds have accidentally been made transparent.

--46.14.150.162 14:54, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed the above but the following have the opposite issue where the background (outside the shield) is not transparent.
/Lokal_Profil 14:11, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Found two new problem CoA:s. 1. Another file with transparent areas 2. The following is totally wrong if you read the blazon, should be corrected/replaced by Riksarkivet. (Probably not quite right to address this here but ...)

Thanks for the report. I'll fix the first one. The second one is indeed wrong. Looks like they have since corrected the version on their webbpage. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 20:36, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Will try a ping to @Riksarkivet Sverige: in case they have the correct version of Västernorrland länsvapen (they have previously corrected e.g. Kronoberg länsvapen. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 20:43, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Shortcut and Shortcut2

[edit]

In my browser Chrome the word "shortcut" appears over the + sign used for adding categories. For your information--Pierpao.lo (listening) 12:25, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see a "+ sign", not sure about your browser config. --Steinsplitter (talk) 12:30, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(−) (±) (↓) (↑) (+): the last one of hotcat "buttons"--Pierpao.lo (listening) 12:33, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Of course in my Commons configuration page categories are on the top--Pierpao.lo (listening) 12:35, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And there is the same bug with firefox--Pierpao.lo (listening) 12:37, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is not a bug, in default-setting (categories not on the top) it looks strange. --Steinsplitter (talk) 14:07, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vector versions of heraldic illustrations

[edit]

We should request the National Archives to provide us with the vector versions of all of their heraldic illustrations. The current PNGs have been generated from vector data, and it would be appropriate and tremendously beneficial if we could receive the original vector versions, as it would have several advantages. —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 12:42, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@André Costa (WMSE): What do you think? —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 12:43, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The images were originally meant to be supplied as vector graphics but a last minute change of heart meant we got raster graphics instead. The department within the National Archives responsible for Coat of Arms are currently recruiting a new boss. When the position has been filled we should reach out to them to re-visit the decision. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 10:16, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A wonderful idea! I would be thrilled if we succeeded with this. —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 07:10, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@André Costa (WMSE): Some exciting news! Davor Zovko will become the new State Herald, starting from 2022-06-15. —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 03:07, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@André Costa (WMSE): Davor Zovko has now become State Herald of Sweden, would you do the honor of reaching out to him? —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 13:10, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
