R2 Result
[edit]@Beria, Miya, Odisha1, and Uğurkent: I am done with counting and processing. Last year's page might be a good help; otherwise I tried to record everything in edit summaries and revision histories. I guess miya would like to check the results, so if you need anything else, miya, please tell me. I would really like to offer my job to someone else next year. It was a pleasure to work together with you and POTY is know more known than it ever was, a good point to make place for new and younger talented users. -- Rillke(q?) 01:45, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
NB: I applied all processing to Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/R2/Results/Candidates so that is the correct listing for making announcements etc. -- Rillke(q?) 01:47, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- I wrote the points right now. You can check. Uğurkent (talk) 20:11, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Which points? Each of these 3 votes counts equal … -- Rillke(q?) 20:54, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Accordingly I wrote points. Uğurkent (talk) 22:00, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, is/was that wording still somewhere in use? -- Rillke(q?) 23:48, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Rillke, thank you for all your great work! Sorry I was not available much this year.
- Uğurkent, the wording - Translations:Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/Rules/31/en - was removed before (or at) the beginning of the R2 testing period.--miya (talk) 13:20, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

the number of voters
[edit]@Rillke: , is it hard to figure the number of voters through R1 and R2 - I mean, how many different/unique voters for this year? If it's not difficult, I'd like to express : THANKS TO ALL XXXX VOTERS in Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/Results and Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/Results/R2/msg. --miya (talk) 16:16, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, Miya. I checked. The others falls into Rillke. Uğurkent (talk) 16:26, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- If Rillke is too busy, we may say "more than 4500 voters". :)--miya (talk) 16:34, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Let me see how many distinct voters we had in total. -- Rillke(q?) 21:01, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- That was obviously a gross underestimation. We have 6698 distinct voters in total (including about 20 ineligible); it should be more than safe to say we have more than 6600. -- Rillke(q?) 22:48, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- 6698! So many! Thank you for checking! Then let's say "THANKS TO ALL 6698 VOTERS", for voeters are voters anyway.--miya (talk) 08:29, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- If Rillke is too busy, we may say "more than 4500 voters". :)--miya (talk) 16:34, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Top 3
[edit]@Rillke, Beria, Odisha1, and Uğurkent: , would you check and copyedit or totally rewrite these pates, and make an announcement of the result to mailinglists if you please? (I hate writing English with my poor lang skill!):

- Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/Results
- Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/Results/R2/msg
I know I made a mess about <translate> tags - not much knowing how to deal with this extention - please fix it, too. Thanks.--miya (talk) 09:50, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- So I checked the licenses and formatting and leave the remaining checks (whether candidates and vote count are correctly reflected) to other committee members - miya, thanks for setting these pages up. -- Rillke(q?) 14:49, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Rillke and Miya. Uğurkent (talk) 18:14, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Rillke for fixing. Thanks Uğurkent for your reply.--miya (talk) 10:31, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
To close the contest
[edit]I checked the TOP 3 closely as the last check and noticed some points which I had overlooked before - The vote count of top 3 might be -1 or so? See here. --miya (talk) 10:31, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Replied there. -- Rillke(q?) 11:22, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Have read your reply - now I see... Thank you for all these complicate checkings!
- As to "the remaining checks (whether candidates and vote count are correctly reflected)", I checked it carefully one by one and believe it reflects Commons:Picture of the Year/2014/R2/Results/Candidates correctly - while there is no objection from other members about the result pages.
- Let's finish and close the contest.--miya (talk) 13:40, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- So be it. Thanks for your work @all helpers and committee members. -- Rillke(q?) 14:05, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
