WHERE ARE THE RESULTS!?

[edit]

ok, this is the first year where i've actually tracked this event semi-live, so i admit i'm a noob on this particular wmc activity...

but it has been 19 hours since voting closed; not to put to fine a point on it, but where the hell are the results!?

the total number of votes to count & validate can't be all that large; this isn't zimbabwe :P

if there is some kind of delay, please POST NOTIFICATION ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE, preferable with regular update.

this looks VERY unprofessional now! :(

Slow down a bit please. This is handled by volunteers, actually the votes are counted and validated if they are correct or not. --Martin H. (talk) 20:29, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I understand this, & i appreciate the effort, but it has now been 22 hours since voting closed. This makes us look bad! any media outlets covering the contest would think we are a bunch of incompetents. If i had known the poty project was this short-staffed, i would have volunteered my time. do you need more workers on the vote processing? Lx 121 (talk) 22:02, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) The progress of checking the votes can be seen here. This takes considerable time as it must be done with care. Please be patient and please avoid shouting (i.e. writing in upper case) and writing in bold. Thanks, AFBorchert (talk) 22:07, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

have created an unofficial vote/results tracker page, am still adding images in vote count order; most to least (by hand, very slow...) the result tracker page is easier to use than the vote-checking page, if you just want to see how things are going. it's not perfect, but better than having nothing up at all. i will do one complete listing of all images, then check back from time to time to update the vote count info. please let me create the full list without edit conflicts; after that, anyone who wants to keep it updated is more than welcome to do so! :) Lx 121 (talk) 00:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
