There were two types of prizes available for winners of the Commons:Wikimania Media Competition 2005:

  • O'Reilly books (technical in nature)
    1. in English
    2. in German)
  • Directmedia DVDs
    1. Wikipedia (Spring 2005)
    2. collections of classic literature [in German]

If you won your category in the competition, and have not yet claimed your prize, leave a note for Bdk or Sj (meta.sj@gmail.com) noting your top two choices from the above options, as well as where to mail your prize. You may send personal info by email.

Special prizes

One ipod shuffles was provided by Apple as a prize; it was given to the best content produced at Wikimania. This was a video montage about public domain by Soufron.

Not part of the media competition, but also special : A bag full of prizes was also offered to the grand prize winner in the writing contest; which went to Spangineer for his superb article on welding. This included a few different O'Reilly books, a German Wikipedia DVD, and a person-sized "Wiki" tote bag.
