Commons:Wiki Loves Folklore 2021/Kenya
Welcome to Wiki Loves Folklore!
[edit]Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photographic contest organized by Wikimedia community to document cultures in different regions of the world. Wiki Loves Folklore is continuation of Commons:Wiki Loves Love 2019 project with the theme of folk culture.
The basic aim of the competition is to collect photos of human cultural diversity to illustrate articles in the worldwide free encyclopedia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects. The photos provided must match the theme, although the contest is not limited to any official list of protected areas, which means that most users will be able to find several pertaining subjects close to theme, whether festivals, dances, cuisine, clothing or daily life routine emphasizing on folk culture of that area.

Prizes

- Over all winner = $150
- 1st runner up = $100
- 2nd runner up = $50
How do I participate?

Everybody is allowed to participate, regardless of age, nationality and place of living, given he/she agrees to publish their work under Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
- In order to participate in the contest, one needs
- to have an account at Wikimedia Commons;
- take pictures of the Kenyan culture;
- Upload pictures at Commons. Don't forget to add the Category:Images from Wiki Loves Folklore 2021 in Kenya
