So, you've decided to participate in our contest? We're pleased to know! Here are few simple steps how to do it:
  1. Check the list of protected areas in Kazakhstan. It's available in four languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. We recommend to choose the language that is most convenient for you: all four options are equivalent and allow you to participate in the competition with the same success.
  2. Pick the object from the list to photograph: it can be closest one to your home, the one you will pass on a business trip or just one that seems most interesting for you to visit.
  3. Visit the object of your choice and take pictures! The more you will take the higher will be your chances to win. But remember two things: this is a photo contest, and it's about nature. So try to make images the highest quality possible and better avoid photographing people and human-made objects.
  4. When you will have enough photographs, open list again, press the «Upload» button at the card of the location you photographed and submit your photos. Please, name the files with descriptive names as required by Wikimedia Commons policies, add coordinates (atleast approximately) and press «Publish». Well done, now you can visit some other natural heritage site!

Also you can upload some old photos: maybe you've visited some places from the list before and brought few excellent photographs from that trip. The only requirement is that photographs should be taken by yourself and submitted during the competition period.

If something about this competition is still unclear for you, you can check the rules or ask us on a talk page: we'll be glad to answer your questions. Good luck and let's go!
