GLAMmy of the 14 April 2014 Ustertag Honegger, Graphischen Sammlung, Zentralbibliothek Zürich, Public domain On November 22, 1830, around 10,000 men from Zurich countryside (Zürich Landschaft) gathered on the hill of Zimiken in Uster. They demanded with the Uster memorial («Memorial von Uster») a new constitution. The main request was an equal treatment of the city and the surrounding countryside. This was the political turnaround to create the first liberal constitution of the canton of Zürich.
