• Images uploaded prior to the donation should be updated to conform to the new page layout, and include the donated metadata
• Investigate whether {{Original caption}} can be programmatically added.[1][2]

Uploading process

• Investigate usefulness of geo information
• Build super/sub category tree and eliminate categories which are super-categories
• Separate the subject map into categories about the topic and categories about the image, and don't add categories about the topic to the image when there is an exact existing category for the topic. e.g. Category:Ponape_(ship) and File:StateLibQld 1 45111 Ponape (Ship).jpg
• Apply subcats of Category:Black and white photographs (e.g. Category:Black and white photographs of ships)

At the end

• Check that all portraits of people, as identified by people subject headings & categories, have the name of the person in the image description.
• Check that all date information, from title and subject headings, is in the image description.
