  • Nomination 2018 Hyundai Kona SE 1.0 --Vauxford 22:19, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Promotion Tilted, please fix. --Basotxerri 07:49, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
    ✓ Done @Basotxerri: --Vauxford 13:03, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, it's still tilted, check the verticals on the left and the right. However you might get problems because the crop is quite tight. --Basotxerri 11:49, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
✓ Done @Basotxerri: I redone the cropping since I have the raw version and did it with less tight cropping as well as a slight straighten but comparing to the other versions, that as straight I can do it. Do I tilt it clockwise or anti-clockwise? --Vauxford 14:52, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Oppose The tilt/perspective correction hasn't been made. I've downloaded the image and tried to fix it myself in Lightroom, however as the image crop es very tight, the left and right borders get cut off. IMO the image isn't good enough for a QI but as it's a car shot, I'd like to hear more opinions. --Basotxerri 15:12, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Just so you know that I reverted to the version where it was less tightly cropped. --Vauxford 15:40, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
  • (waiting) Oppose blanked numberplate --Ralf Roletschek 07:08, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Per Ralf Roletschek --Billy69150 11:33, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment @Ralf Roletschek: @Billy69150: I don't see why the number plate being blanked out would make the whole image insufficient quality. This was placed in discussion to discuss if the image is fine as it or need to be tilted or have the perspective fixed etc. My other image of the Kia Picanto got promoted and that had it registration plate blanked out. I blank out the plate in respect of the owner's privacy. One of my images got deleted by the owner of the vehicle via a OTSR ticket request because the registration plate wasn't blanked. Fortunately I manage to get it restored but with the registration plate blanked --Vauxford (talk) 18:04, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
    • A blurring of the license plate is not required. There is no right to the image of one's own cause. White license plates are a serious deterioration of the photo. When I see it, I always give a oppose. It may be that other users see it differently. When I see such pictures in articles in Wikipedia, I trade them for photos with number plates. --Ralf Roletschek 19:35, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
      • @Ralf Roletschek: It might not be required but I do it to respect the privacy of the owner of the vehicle, especially with newer vehicles, classics or older than 25 years old I leave unblanked. Another problem is that the majority of photographer's fields aren't really cars and vehicles. It usually landscapes, buildings etc and when it is a vehicle is used mostly for artistic purpose rather than practical. These images that (although not all) often get promoted as QI tend to have lots of backgrounds to enhance the tone and scene of the picture. Also there hundreds of mine and others images that are being used on articles related to automobiles and they all got there registration plate blanked but it still high quality all round, it barely leaves any distortion or distraction in the picture in my opinion, (Unless if I misinterpret your comment then my apologises.) --Vauxford 20:43, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Other than that. It would be best to discuss about the tilting or perspective of the photo, rather than declining just over the number plate? --Vauxford 08:08, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
    • @Vauxford: for QI it is usual to expect things that are vertical in reality to be vertical in the photo. In this case that means that the vertical features in the building behind the car should be parallel to the left and right edges of the photo. As Basotxerri mentioned above, this may be possible to correct if you have a bit more border available on the un-cropped original image. As for the number plates, I came across the same problem here in QI. The solution I found was to fake the registrations rather than blanking or blurring them (examples: File:Land Rover Series III Lightweight 1979 - front.jpg, File:Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography 2016.jpg) and adding the 'Retouched picture' template to the image description. DeFacto 09:04, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
      • @DeFacto: I have recropped it once. Although I can't decide whether to leave it and have it declined. I still have the original version. When it come blurring out the reg plate. I always think the way you done it is too tricky. Like placing the letters in line with each other. --Vauxford 10:13, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
        • Here you can see, how it works. But sorry, it's in german. --Ralf Roletschek 18:18, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
          • @Ralf Roletschek: I will take a look into it. Is there like any detailed steps. I use Photoshop CC. --Vauxford 18:51, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
            • If you like, I'll complete the tutorial with your example, I'll try to write that in English - but then I'm guaranteed to make mistakes. But I would need your original picture. - Ralf Roletschek 20:49, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

  •  Support and now i think its QI ;) --Ralf Roletschek 22:21, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support - Looks OK to me. I think the slanted perspective is OK. -- Ikan Kekek 22:23, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment It still should be more cropped IMO since the perspective are fixed. --Vauxford 22:35, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support OK now! Good work done! --Basotxerri (talk) 15:22, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
