Consensual review[edit]

File:20171121_Mekong_Don_Det_3775_DxO.jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Mekong River after sunset, seen from Don Det island --Jakubhal 05:51, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

  •  Comment no details at all in the darks. Now there's some detail in the shadows, but this was done by raising the overall exposure. --Granada 07:12, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment Sorry, but I have just found even featured pictures of sunsets with part of image black. So maybe it is not a QI but I would like to see other opinions. --Jakubhal 07:43, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment - This is a beautiful composition, so I'm reluctant to vote to decline, but would you consider lifting the black areas a bit? -- Ikan Kekek 08:51, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment New version uploaded --Jakubhal 16:49, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment - Thanks, but I still can't support because the black areas - especially the one in the foreground on the right - impede eye movement. -- Ikan Kekek 18:14, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment Cannot cut it off because it would ruin the composition. I have prepared another light correction --Jakubhal 22:31, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment - It's better, but for now, I'll remain neutral. -- Ikan Kekek 02:52, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Support Acceptable. Stopped down to f/5.6 would have enhanced corner sharpness a bit. I'm using my K-5 II always with Highlight Correction switched on, very useful in high contrast situations. This has virtually no disadvantages in terms of noise. --Smial 12:17, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Support Nice picture, good quality. Yann 17:46, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

File:Tree_outside_of_Gare_de_Boitsfort_on_a_foggy_morning_in_December_(Belgium).jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Tree outside of Gare de Boitsfort on a foggy morning in December (Belgium) --Trougnouf 23:05, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

  •  Support Good quality.--Agnes Monkelbaan 05:55, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Oppose I disagree. Sorry, tinting the sodium vapor lamps grey to hide the partial overexposure is not the right solution. Such small spots are allowed to clip. --Smial 11:13, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment I didn't tint the spotlights specifically. This is an HDR made out of 3 exposures 2/3 stops apart and I'm new to dealing with it (I've spent several hours learning how to make this picture work). I think the grey you've described is from lower saturation and lower global tonemap target, so I've restored these values (I liked the slightly darker less yellow aspect, especially in a version where I turned the color temperature all the way down and it looked like [1], but that's obviously nothing like real life so worthless here). Let me know if this version is better or I should restore the old one or if you have any suggestion.--Trougnouf 11:50, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
Comment New version looks much more natural. So I removed my vote as my objections were taken into account. But to get a really good image you will need to use some more exposure steps. --Smial 11:40, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Support - Good quality IMO. -- Ikan Kekek 08:55, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

  •  Comment I think this image could benefit from a slight perspective correction (+rotation, -vertical lens shift). Good but none of the subjects appear particularly sharp. --Trougnouf 12:03, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment perspective correction done --Hatem Moushir 21:35, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Support PumpkinSky 16:40, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
    • change to  Oppose, sorry, did not see the heads on the bottom. I thought they were rocks. PumpkinSky 13:16, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
      •  Support With this additional fix, it's ok now. PumpkinSky 17:05, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Oppose No, far from Qi to me. Especially the left part is leaning out and unsharp. Plus: What are these mysterious clonelike heads on the bottom? --Milseburg 12:14, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Something must have been stamped out in the part at the bottom right and that was done very badly and visible (at least to identical camel heads including the surroundings?) and overall the image ist not really sharp. Finally it still tilts to the left. --Granada 09:14, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
  •  Comment , ok you are right , anyway i upload a new version —Hatem Moushir 18:10, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
