Commons:Flickr batch uploading/Steve Garvie
Mr. Steve Garvie, who contributes to Flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rainbirder, has published the most recent of his excellent wildlife photographs as CC-BY-SA on Flickr. After I contacted him to thank him for choosing this license and thereby allowing the use of the images by us, he kindly agreed to licence his many older images under CC-BY-SA.
The images lend themselves well to a batch upload, as they have useful names and descriptions. They should be tagged with the usual Flickr tags, as in File:Bronze Sunbird (Nectarinia kilimensis) male.jpg, and be put in Category:Photographs by Steve Garvie (we already have three). It may be useful to set the file name as "<Flickr name> by Steve Garvie" and the description as "{{en|1=<Flickr name>. <Flickr description>}}". Thanks, Sandstein (talk) 11:36, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
