Beinecke Flickr Laboratory

[edit]

As far as I can see all of the pictures in the photostream of Beinecke Flickr Laboratory are licensed with a CC-BY 2.0 license. These pictures have great educational value because: they illustrate what's in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, there are many different types of text, palaeography and literary genre represented, many of the texts concern notable people and subjects, they are all accompanied by extremely useful captions.

Also, I think most of these files are actually in the public domain, since they are nothing more than uncreative reproductions of PD texts: is it possible to change the licensing at the same time as batch uploading them? NotFromUtrecht (talk) 09:30, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will look at the script. It should not be that difficult to change. In which category do you want the files ? - Zil (d) 15:41, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Category:Images from the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. In this one perhaps? NotFromUtrecht (talk) 10:56, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
