- Oppose Sadly, way overexposed on the windows, which spoils this otherwise great view to me. HDR or a simple exposure blending would have helped, but so it is not the "very best" of Commons imo... - A.Savin 21:08, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
- This pic results from the blending of 5 pics from +2 to -2 EV. The light from the windows was blinding to the eye; the dynamic range required not to blow out the highlights is far too great for a realistic picture. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 13:36, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- I support this comment. I thought the demand was unrealistic or would produce unrealistic results. I actually like the glare from the windows. Colin (talk) 14:27, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- Why unrealistic? Perhaps a different time of day (or different weather conditions) may provide a better result, even without blending. - A.Savin 16:49, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- I had a special authorisation to take this pic, thanks to the French chapter. The interior of the library is rather dark: I'm not sure the dynamic range can ever fit a sensor, even with HDR. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 17:54, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- As Jastrow says, I'd expect the interior to be relatively dark compared to daylight. These are huge shining bright windows designed to let the sunlight flood in as much as possible and to which the eye will react, as Jastrow notes, by being blinded by the glare. If the camera wasn't similarly blinded by glare, it would look unrealistic IMO. Yes, an evening shot might avoid that, but it would be a different shot and the huge windows wouldn't be as spectacular IMO. Colin (talk) 18:27, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

- Neutral for the moment, tending to support (I need to think about a bit more). Very impressive to me (I know the place, but have never seen it like this -it is a compliment-) and nice, but in spite of the above comments I understand very well, the light through the windows prevents me from a support vote...(+ some magenta/violet CA in the upper left corner -metallic structure- to be corrected maybe)...--Jebulon (talk) 09:50, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support I don't need to see out the windows, there is enough inside the room. --99of9 (talk) 01:08, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
