- Support Perfect AOV; it will be affected if camera was raised to avoid the blurry leaf edge on foreground. Less details compared to File:Green Malachite (Siproeta stelenes) butterfly.jpg; but I prefer the natural colour in natural lights here. Both are taken with the same lense; but the full frame drastically reduced the DOF here. Böhringer, I like your macros from your D300s, more. Otherwise, buy a 200mm. - you're right - my 105mm Macro does not fit on the 800 camera. Maybe I'll buy the 200 :-) Thank you for the hint. --Böhringer (talk) 21:15, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- I preffer a real FP Quality --The Photographer (talk) 22:31, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- That's from a Bridge camera; we can't expect that much DOF from a DSLR. Off course, DSLR has many other advantages; if combined with a suitable lens. JKadavoor Jee 13:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Comment Here we evaluate image quality of the photos regardless of cameras. I myself have taken photos without a good lens --The Photographer (talk) 15:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- (Not for arguments; but for a healthy discussion) Yes; a generic lens that you used here has better DOF even though other limitations. See this. Here everything in focus including the legs. But people complained about the busy background (agree with it). So we have to choose a combination of equipment that produce enough DOF but controlling the BG, considering other factors like subject size. I agree that this is not the best work of Böhringer, considering his 100+ FPs. And, we are missing Paolo's works and thoughtful suggestions too. JKadavoor Jee 16:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
