SupportI won't really nominate this for QI because if I pixel-peep, I'd see some unsharp places (I did not put any sharpness). I had to lower the vibrance so that the picture wouldn't look like a painting (these birds are so colorful). However, I was "wowed" by this image, and I thought maybe others may enjoy it. -- GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 13:21, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I will humbly accept all criticism and try my best to learn and improve. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 13:27, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose sorry but the subject is not well represented. Further more, 120Mo for a 20Mpx ? Olivier LPB (talk) 13:35, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Olivier LPB: Yeah, it's a TIFF file in case you didn't notice. These things are huge... GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 13:39, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Presenting this in TIF might not be such a good idea since it limits the file's usability. It would be better to go with the jpeg version and link the TIF as an "other versions=" on the file page for those who like to work with such big files. You could make a jpeg version of it and nominate it as an "Alternative" here in this nomination. Btw, what does "KL" in the description stand for? Could you please write it instead of using abbreviations so that foreigners like me can understand it. ;) --Cart (talk) 13:44, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- @W.carter: Sure thing! Thanks for the comments. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 13:52, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose The light is not really giving me the fizz here - also the bird's head is at a slightly unfortunate angle.--Peulle (talk) 14:08, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Interesting lines with the branches, but the bird looking up isn't really working for me. Daniel Case (talk) 21:03, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination Looks like the majority has a different opinion. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 22:24, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Alternative jpeg version, not featured
[edit]- Info Alternative JPEG (JPEG compression artifacts are present though...), Cart's suggestion. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 14:07, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

- Comment @Peulle: Eh, I guess we have personal preferences; I personally like that angle, heh. How could I improve the lighting? GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 14:11, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Don't be surprised if voters would like you to go out and take the same photo on a day with better light and the bird looking some other way. At FPC we routinely ask nominators to do the impossible. ;) --Cart (talk) 14:16, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- @W.carter: Haha, yeah. I got real damn lucky yesterday when I got this shot, I've been living here nine years and this is my first time finally getting a shot at the bird. Sadly didn't get to see it today, heh. :P --GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 14:18, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, ask the bird to come back and strike a pose when you have the light from behind you. ;-D --Peulle (talk) 17:33, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 01:22, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
