- Question What makes fisheye as good as or better than a more normative-looking approach in this case? I stand to be convinced that it is. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:44, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Ikan Kekek Totally not an expert, but I'll give it a try: The way the fisheye distorts the the outer parts of the frame harmonizes well with the round shape of the apse. To me, it feels very natural and organic in this case. It's as if I'm standing right there, looking at the altar with the apse in my peripheral vision softly enclosing everything (this seems to be one of those images that work best on a large screen). A rectilinear shot taken in the same spot would very likely come with its own kind of distortions that would probably look worse. Stepping back and shooting with a longer lens is of course an option, but I doubt it would result in the same kind of intimacy. El Grafo (talk) 10:04, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

- Support Normally I don’t like fisheye photos, but here the fisheye perspective harmonizes with the shape of the apse. --Aristeas (talk) 14:17, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
