What about a VP9 file in webm container, thus technically an animated video ? File:CG heart 90fps.webm. IMO, GIFs should be allowed here. // Eatcha (talk) 11:06, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support I agree that this should be moved automatically if FPC no longer features moving images, but if for whatever reason it isn't, it definitely should be featured here. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:06, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Description :  Around The World In 70 Days on a container ship. The time-lapse video includes ports of Hong Kong, Yantian, Panama Canal, New York, Baltimore, Suez Canal and Xiamen.
  • Gallery: Commons:Featured media/Time-lapse
  •  Info created by Jonathan Fielding - uploaded to commons && nominated by Eatcha -- Eatcha (talk) 11:00, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support Looks feature-able to me, but has some glitchiness and is also somewhat shaky maybe cuz of storms?. -- Eatcha (talk) 11:00, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment It's certainly a valuable video. I don't know how to judge whether it's featurable or not, but I did watch the entire thing. I think the shakiness as a result of storms is reasonable, as it shows how strong the shaking was. I thought early on that the skies weren't bright enough and were probably underexposed, but I got used to it. I thought the long segment over the Pacific could have been shortened, but that wasn't the point of the time-lapse film, although I thought it might have been shortened toward the end without any notice being given. Watching this gives the viewer a strong sense of how monotonous the voyages are, but also how cloud patterns change and what a great view of the night sky you get over the ocean. A couple of side points: What's identified as "New York" looks to really be Newark, NJ. You see the ship go under the Verrazzano Bridge, turn left, go under the Bayonne Bridge, and then turn right. Also, I remember the segment on the Panama Canal being nominated separately. I was quite surprised by how few ports were visited - nothing in Europe, the Middle East or any part of Asia other than China. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:13, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support The more I think about this clip, the more I think that since there's no "Valued media" category, this merits a feature. It's substantial and interesting enough. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:56, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Support. I hadn't heard of this group, but they get a substantial Wikipedia article. The video is very professional and polished and the music is good, though I didn't expect it to start with screaming. I couldn't decipher most of the words, but that's a common issue in these types of recordings. Overall, a very worthy candidate, and we're lucky the video is available to use here. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:15, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support Per Ikan. Most of the music videos we get to judge here are like Big Buck Bunny: not quite Pixar level but the best we can get under a free license. This is different, these are actually professional musicians who not only have been doing this for many years, but also have been quite successful doing so in the real world. As far as I can tell (my metal days are long gone and I never really liked this kind of singing), the music is a good representation of the sub-genre. The video ticks all the boxes as well: hairy band performing with plenty of head banging (bonus: glacial abrasion on coastal rocks in the background suggests a Scandinavian setting), wolf in the fog, antlers used as headgear, very sparsely dresses females in the forest … cliché² --El Grafo (talk) 10:34, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • ? It's a display of aggression defending its nest, peering out and repeatedly opening its beak (and then coming out to do so). It didn't much care for me walking by, and would stick its head out and do this anytime I did (you'd think he wouldn't pick the house next to the walking path). When I set up my camera to record and walk away, he was still clearly unsure about it. I don't know if we have another video that illustrates this kind of behavior. — Rhododendrites talk12:31, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
