Commons:Ecomare
Ecomare (Dutch Wikipedia/Wikidata) is the centre for the Wadden and North Sea and is situated on the Wadden Island Texel. The centre was founded in 1929 and had then the name "Texels Museum". Currently the centre contains a natural history museum, an aquarium, a seal sanctuary, and a bird sanctuary.
In 2016 Ecomare donated to Wikipedia 382 images that have been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. These images are about the recovery of seals, seals in the Wadden Sea, birds, fish and fishing, seashells, plants of the area, and more.
The images were received by the project team of Project Nature from Wikimedia Nederland.
