Discussion
- Fully trusted user. His bot could be helpful in rearranging and cleaning up categories related with images from pl-wiki as well as for any other tasks. AFAIK we dont have to many "polish bots" running on commons, so his could be very helpful.Masur 20:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm a beaurocrat on Polish Wikipedia, which gave a bot flag for the same bot [1], and I have to said it was a good decission, and Szczepan.bot works fine, without any mistakes. Lajsikonik 20:30, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Could a little more detail on what tasks this bot will do? Other than that I have no objections. 哦,是吗?(User:O) 20:48, 18 December 2007 (GMT)
- F.e. bot will be used for mass file recategorization, which were wrongly categorized, what is often requested on polish wiki irc channel, as we dont have to many commons-bot operatora there. My bot would also cooperate with the polish wikiproject "To Commons" (moving images from local wiki to Commons), helping with mass categorization and so on. --Szczepan talk 21:02, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Categorization is hot topic sometimes (including Poland-related), so IRC-only request is not looks very appropriate. Please consider to use Commons:Categories for discussion instead of immediate actions.
- Please disclose review and categorization process for images moved from Polish Wikipedia.

- Szczepan is a good bot operator on Polish Wikipedia. He has six month practical experience with pywikipedia software. When you look at the category Jewish cemeteries in Poland, you can see that the word "cemetery" has been capitalized or not without consistency, from a long time. I think this bot is needed on Commons for introducing such consistency. This bot on Commons is wanted for as. On commons we have problem with communications, because not many people speak English very well. Only a Pole can translate a Polish filename to English. When this is the name of category this is normally task for bot not for man. I think we need this Szczepan.bot. Sp5uhe 20:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Szczepan has proved his bot to be very useful on pl.wikipedia - which tells us a lot about his skills with the keyboard and the code. Wpedzich 20:58, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Szczepan is a very helpful user. When I asked him for assistance in matters requiring admin tools, his helping hand was always there; he never said he didn't have enough time. I want him to be able to exercise his skills for the good of the project in a wider scope, so that the situation when we manually had to rename the contents of this category doesn't happen again. - Categorization is a very contentious topic and I'd like to hear more about exactly what would and wouldn't be done by this bot, (where is input gotten from, for example) as well as a test run so we can see edit summaries, etc. Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 17:01, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- I do not intend to use my bot to introduce changes into potentially controversial categories without prior discussion of such matters. The bot's main use would rather be to fix category name typos - e.g. Category:PL ZZ 2007 should be renamed to Category:Zlot Zimowy 2007 - which I'll perform in a second as a part of the test. --Szczepan talk 20:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- How will the moving to Commons stuff be done? How is decided which images are copied and what the description is? I would like a test run of that. -- Bryan (talk to me) 21:57, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- I want to make support only in categorization for project "To Commons" on Polish Wikipedia, not for moving files. --Szczepan talk 00:29, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't trust him because isn't good admin on PL wiki (he shouldn't be admin...). Pietras1988 11:03, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is out of pure spite from Pietras1988. Look here. Theme in English is: behavior; Content is: please do not be unkind for others :) --Slawojar 18:48, 28 gru 2007 (CET) For the loutishness you will be blocked without warning. It is not the first time. Qurqa 19:16, 28 gru 2007 (CET)
- Szczepan is only normal user on pl wikipedia. Sp5uhe 10:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- What's the connection between these two? Why do you even open your mouth (or keyboard) if you have absolutely nothing to say? How come you are here to speak up for things you know nothing about? You do not seem trustworthy, even when we consider your block log on pl.wiki. --Szczepan talk 18:23, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- For your info, Pietras - Szczepan is not an admin. But what he writes here holds true just the same. 213.192.75.2 18:26, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Sorry, it was me. Wpedzich 18:27, 27 December 2007 (UTC)>
