Dear Admins,
I ' want to get the bot-flag for my User:PortalBot. On the german WP the bot runs since November 1st, 2005, and has no problems. Here on the Commons, I want to use the Bot for working with categories and templates. I did not want to upload images. The Bot is written with the python-framework.     • Let's put it this way. Nilfanion and I renamed about 100 files from one user a few days ago. This took hours. A bot could have easily done it in far less time. Cary "Bastique" Bass ^parler _voir 13:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

For example, I want to use the bot to search for images, where it is possible, to replace the PD-soviet-licence with a better one, because images with (only) that licence cannot be used in de:WP and several other WPs, which are used in the European Union. Sorting images is an important part of that, so I need to write with the bot. The available tools are helpfull, but not in all cases. Augiasstallputzer 14:21, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
