Programming language(s): java
At the moment my bot only creates Commons:Deletion_requests/incomplete as result of Commons:Bots/Work_requests#Listing_open_deletion_requests. Mediawiki does not always updates the database correctly if an embedded templates changed. Thats why the bot has to do some null edits before running the database query (four pages at the moment - depending on linkcount at Commons:Deletion_requests/Older_discussions). Thats what i mean with invisible edits above.
The policy says that request should be faily general, so if added "requested by a template" as my bot does on dewiki (and e.g. archive bots do) and to highlight that in difference to my other bot this bot won't edit on a page without a user request. Merlissimo (talk) 20:38, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
Discussion
- Test run look OK for me. However, I don't think that statistics should be updated too frequently. May be once an hour? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:44, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- A new incomplete deletion request report is created only once a day. Merlissimo (talk) 16:23, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- If there are no objections, I think we should grant bot status. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:39, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
