Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: Categorization. I normally work with files of which I have knowledge about, e.g. from my own vicinity in the areas of geography, industry and transportation.
Automatic or manually assisted: Always assisted.
Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Whenever I need to add/move many files to a certain category. Normally I edit "by hand" from my human account. HotCat is nice but sometimes I would like the helping hand from a bot account. I do not plan to use it often.
Maximum edit rate (eg edits per minute):
- If bot flag: standard rate using default value of the maxlag parameter.
- If no bot flag: max 2 edits/minute (or whatever allowable rate at Commons)
Bot flag requested: (Y/N): I don't think I actually need a bot flag (that's up to you if you want to see me in RC or not), but I would like to ask permission to use bot software. It reduces the risk of typing errors. It would be nice to be able to execute tasks myself instead of asking others or doing it completely manual.
Programming language(s):
Standard pywikipediabot framework. For categorization work category.py
is used.

Discussion
- Please make a test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:43, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
- Test edits looks OK for me. Operator is trusted. I have no objections. I'd suggest to set bot flag. --Marco Aurelio (disputatio) 08:31, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think will be good idea to use link to categories in edit summary. This will do them more readable as well as useful :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:51, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- The edit summary is the standard one from the pywikibot script, but I will try to remember to link the categories in a custom summary. Sorry for not havemade many edits so far. I plan to make a test run with "selection" of files as well (the first "common command" mentioned at the bot presentation). --MagnusA (talk) 09:21, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
- Test run using
-file
made. In this case it would probably been better to do the category change manually (using HotCat) but for the sake of bot demo I did it with bot script. --MagnusA (talk) 12:57, 22 September 2011 (UTC)- Looks OK for me. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:49, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

If there are no objections, I think bot status should be granted. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:46, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
