• I think this means that the en:Wikipedia:Bot Approvals Group needs to also be followed. The transfer is not a completely passive process. We may need to encourage a wider discussion, like flagging on the village pump, as there are routine issues like copyright or poor format, that might be of interest to fix at the time of transfer. Commons has a reputation for allowing the transfer of files from other projects, but then they get deleted without any notification at the original hosting project, within a year or two. --Fæ (talk) 14:07, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
