I will also try to organize a little project in Ukrainian Wikipedia to review and use the uploaded/transfered files.

Discussion
- Please describe review process. We had relatively high rate of transfer of non-free Ukraine-related images in past (for example, incorrect using of {{PD-UA-exempt}}, {{PD-Ukraine}}, etc.) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:50, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- I plan to transfer ONLY images published by wikipedians in Russian and English wikis which are either in public domain due to their age, or are own works of wikipedians and licenced under GNU/CC licenses. Here are examples of transfered works: one, two, three (prefix WP is the traditional attribution to the author of these pictures). When transfering pictures of Ukraine and Ukrainians I use recommended transliteration rules for Ukrainian language in English Wikipedia, namely National transliteration system 1996 (for geographical places) and BGN/PCGN (for names, etc.).
Review process includes categorization on Commons (when needed), making sure everything is fine with licenses, etc. --Amakuha (talk) 11:36, 25 May 2010 (UTC)- I don't think that WP prefix have any sense. Country name is much better idea for such images. Please pay attention to thumbnail-sized images, why may be not own work, but just taken form internet. Public domain work shoul also include author/source information (if available). --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:50, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks for advice. --Amakuha (talk) 22:06, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

- Did you read Commons:Moving to Commons? Might be useful. Please clean up the author field like this example (if author == original uploader, remove the extra text). Multichill (talk) 21:15, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- Let's close this one, operator is not responding. Multichill (talk) 20:16, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
