Grouping multiple conversations on specific religion into one at the parent level. Josh (talk) 23:51, 8 May 2019 (UTC) I recommend that this category and its subs be renamed Category:Writers of religious literature, Category:Writers of Christian literature, Category:Writers of Islamic literature, etc. Any writers presently categorized here merely for their own religious identification and not for the subject of their writings should be removed from this tree. This definitely seems like a workable system. - Themightyquill (talk) 07:07, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Joshbaumgartner: I've done this for everything except Category:Jewish writers which is both an ethnicity and a religion. Should we create parallel Category:Jewish writers and Category:Writers of Jewish literature categories? - Themightyquill (talk) 11:30, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Category:Jewish writers for writers who are Jewish, regardless of subject matter, and Category:Writers of Jewish literature for writers on Jewish subjects regardless of their personal ethnicity or religion. Josh (talk) 17:19, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Some of the content in Category:Jewish writers should still be added to Category:Writers of Jewish literature but it's beyond my ability to do it properly. - Themightyquill (talk) 07:06, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
